The Project Objective

Extend the current paintjob on the hull through another year before a complete respray.

Our Solution

For this particular project we recommended to the Captain that we used Seaskin's Polytech sealant.

This was based on our analysis of the project and the Captain's need to keep costs (in both time and funds) to an absolute minimum.

We were able to do this as our sealant is slightly quicker to apply and yet, as an advance second generation Polymer sealant, offers superb protection against the elements and a long lasting deep shine.

As the images on the right show we first had to deal with the damage left by another company who had not followed the correct procedures for applying sealants.

Before applying any treatments it is extremely important that there are no imperfections left on the paintwork as this dramatically decreases the appearance of the finished surface.

After we removed the swirl marks our next task was to apply two coats of the Seaskin sealant.

Results

Our treatment gave the yacht a defect free surface with a greater depth of blue. This has significantly delayed the need for a full respray.

This project was covered by our own 12 month guarantee.
